Book Your ‘Morning on the Congress Tour’ Today!

Enjoy a nice early morning walk through the Giant Forest that is great for all skill levels for snowshoeing. We will be able to see the world’s largest tree, the General Sherman Tree before the crowds get there. From there we will have a snowshoe lesson before venturing into the unmaintained snowy wonder of the Giant Forest. Along the way we will learn about the wildlife and plants that call this forest their home. Keep a watchful eye for tracks in the snow indicating wildlife activities. If we are lucky we might even be able to see who made them!

Trail Description: Easy walk along a shoveled and paved trail with steps. Then snowshoe, if applicable, up a gradual hill along the Congress Trail climbing around 200 ft elevation.

Meeting Time: Morning walk starting at 9AM from the Lower Sherman Tree Parking Lot (Winter Parking Lot).
