About Me

A recent photo of myself. I am standing at the base of a sequoia tree. I have a long curly beard and am wearing a shirt from a local Dark Sky Festival.

Whether you are joining me for an adventure under the sequoias, a program under the stars, or a family portrait with an iconic backdrop you are going to have an amazing adventure. I am full of jokes and fun facts. Of course less talking and more hiking is always available upon request. However, if you are into cool facts, followed by a dad joke, followed by another fact, which is laced with a pun, I am probably the guide for you.

See you soon!

Thank you for your interest in my photography and tour business. My name is Scott. I come equipped with a Bachelors in Science for Biology from the University of Connecticut, six years experience working with black bears and other wildlife, six years of experience leading guide tours and astronomy programs and have lived and worked in Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks for ten years.

An old photo of me from 2014 holding a three week old black bear cub that was part of a population study I worked on. The cub, its siblings, and the mother were returned to the den to live in the wild.

My Mission

To provide quality guided tours and photography opportunities for those that are looking to explore, learn about, and cherish the wonders of the Southern Sierra and Foothills areas.

Photography Sessions

While growing up my family took me to the department store photography labs were we stood in front of a sterile background. Now, my passion for wildlife and landscape photography has lead me to rethink how I would have wanted those family portraits to be captured.

I find a portrait of you and your people with a waterfall or spring flowers blooming behind you feels more organic and wholesome.
